Break your chain part one

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

Most people have heard of the story of how elephants can be tied down by a thin chain and a small stick. The elephant’s body has more than enough strength to easily break the chain that ties him in place. The thing that is weak about the elephant is not his body, but his mind. When your mind is tied to a certain way of perceiving yourself and perceiving the world, it will limit your possibilities and how far you will go in life.

If you want to go further than where you are right now, you must break the chain that binds you, and hold you where you are. The chain that needs to be broken is your mind – your thoughts. If you believe things can change – things can change. If you believe your situation is temporary – then it is only a matter of time and you will see new life. My question to you is, “Are you willing to break your chain?

So how does an elephant, who’s been in the same position, and lifestyle his whole life, change his thinking? How can someone change their thinking, when they know no other way? The answer is one word – imagination. Even the Bible says, “Seize every imagination, and hold it to the obedience of Christ.” The obedience of Christ is simple, it is love and freedom.
