Do you know your best characteristics?

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

This day was created for you, and was given to you by your Maker. You are important. You are a piece of the big puzzle, so we need you at your best. The way you think about yourself impacts the way you think about others. The way you feel about yourself impacts the way you feel about others and the world.  What are your top three positive characteristics? How can you use these characteristics to enhance this day for yourself, and for others? For me, it’s: Passion, Commitment, and Inspiration. […]

Do you know what your purpose in life is? A life void of purpose is a life lost. I find it interesting that so many people ask me how to find their purpose.

Your Darinism…Are you ready?

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

Are you ready? I’m not talking about for Thanksgiving. I’m not talking about for Black Friday. And, no, I’m not talking about for Christmas or New Year’s. Are you ready for the rest of your life? Don’t know? Then the answer is, no. When I ask my clients this question sometimes they respond with, “That depends on what the rest of my life looks like.” That tells me where to start coaching. You can do more than just wait to see what happens. You can be the cause of what […]

Your Darinism…Getting chopped…

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

My wife and I enjoy watching the show “Chopped”  on the food network. In case you haven’t seen it, it is a show that features for competing chefs. The chefs are given a mystery basket, which contain items of food from which they are to create a great meal for the judges. The chefs  compete in three rounds-appetizer, entrée, and a dessert round. At the end of each round the judges choose the worst dish, and the chef who made that dish gets eliminated – chopped. Has life treated you […]

Know your own significance

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

Have you ever asked yourself, “Do I matter?” or “What difference does it make that I am here?” The universe is so big, and the world seems so crazy, that it’s easy to question your own significance. But, be careful with that line of questioning. To question your own significance is to, on some level, deny your significance. The truth? You are significant, and you do matter. Furthermore, because you do matter, what you do matters and has a significant impact. The impact you make occurs even when you can’t […]

Where’s your focus?

Everyone has two natures. In theology, we often refer to these two natures as one being the Adamic (limited) nature, and the other being your divine or Christ-like nature. One of these natures wants you to advance while the other wants to pull you back. The one that you cultivate and concentrate on decides what you are in the end. Both natures are trying to gain control. Your will alone decides the issue. A person by the supreme effort of the will may change their whole career and almost accomplish […]

Giving it 100%

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

What does it mean to give your very best? What do you look like when you’re giving 100%? What does 100% look like when you’re at work? What does 100% look like when you’re at home? What is 100% look like in a relationship? How do you define 100% in a relationship with God? Does it mean giving more time, more attention, more passion? Possibly. One thing is for sure, it does mean being willing to do all the above. It means being willing to go to the next level; […]

Break your chain Part Four

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

A new high school was being built in our city called, Health Careers High School.  They came to my junior high school to advertise in hopes of getting students to apply. They showed a video of young students walking around in white lab coats with stethoscopes hanging around their necks. “Wow!”  I thought. Finally, I had a vision of what I have been hoping for. I could just see myself walking around with a lab coat and a stethoscope around my neck. But there was one problem…I had to apply […]

Break your chain part two

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

People tend to focus on what they know – this usually means their past. It is from their past that they forecast, paint, and produce their future. Let’s free your imagination, shall we? If you were free to love yourself, what would that look like? How would you feel about waking up and starting your day? If you actually loved you, how would you feel as you headed out in the morning? Would you feel excited and full of adrenaline? Do you believe that most people break their mental chains? […]
